Description:
Dive into the principles of visual design and the key elements of strong composition in this immersive, hands on workshop on Saturday, May 30th from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. You’ll move beyond “pretty pictures” to understand why certain images grab attention, feel balanced, and tell powerful stories.
You’ll learn:
-
How to use line, shape, color, light, and negative space to guide the viewer’s eye
-
Classic composition framing, leading lines, layers, and more
-
How to build stronger images through point of view, timing, and simplification
-
Ways to create visual impact in landscapes, portraits, and street scenes
The session will be richly illustrated with photographs from a cycle around the world for Alzheimer’s, using real travel images to break down what works, what doesn’t, and how to elevate your own work. Participants will get hands on shooting exercises plus supportive portfolio reviews, giving you practical feedback you can apply immediately to your photography.
