In Bayfield Calendar
You are invited to submit your photos for consideration for the 2025 Bayfield Calendar. All photos must be original and although you may submit photos entered in previous years, they may not have previously appeared in the calendar.   The theme for this year is: “Bayfield as you like it” so put your poetic visions to work and submit your photos no later than June 15. Consider submitting photos representing each of the four seasons. Photos must be in 2x3 format to align with the calendar size of 8x12. Judges will not crop your photos or otherwise change them to make them conform. Photos must be a minimum of 4 Mpixels to allow professional presentation at 300dpi in the calendar. Please give each of your submissions a title. There is no limit to the number of photos you can submit. Successful photographers will be rewarded with a free 2025 PCoB membership. Selection of the judges is final.   Please submit each photo TWICE. Once as a photo by clicking on the camera icon  (1st icon) after you click “write a comment”, and adding the desired file followed by clicking “publish”. Click “write a comment” again and this time click on the upward arrow icon (3rd icon) and resubmit the same file once more and click “publish”. The reason for this is that the first post which shows up as a photo, just as in the monthly assignments, is a very low-resolution rendition in 3rd party software not useable other than for viewing on the screen. The second submission, although not visible, has all the data we need to create calendar-worthy image.   By submitting your image you agree to have it included in the calendar if selected and allow for the creation of an additional two larger 10x15 prints for potential sale. Initial photo triage will be undertaken by a committee of the PCoB Board. The final PCoB selection of around 17 photos will be submitted to our calendar project partner, the Bayfield Lions, for their final photo decisions.

PCoB recently purchase a new Monitor Calibration device for club member use. It is very easy to use and insures that the colours shown on your monitor are true. The easiest way to get to use this is to bring your laptop to the Tech Support session at the Lions building on Tuesday March 5 starting at 9:30 and we will show you how to do this. https://www.datacolor.com/spyder/products/spyder-x-pro/

Jan Simonson, as of recently no longer a member of PCoB purchased some high end mirrorless camera gear in anticipation of extended travel opportunities. Unfortunately, health issues have gotten in the way and he is no longer in a position to travel. As a result he has a magnificent brand-new Sony package which he would like to make available to interested club members. I am making this post on his behalf. *** For Sale: Sony Mirrorless Camera System Hello. As a former member of the PCoB, I am offering up some new camera gear at an attractive price: a Sony a7iii camera paired with a Sony 28-70 mm lens, a fully compatible Tamron 150-500mm lens, and a Sirui Traveler 7c tripod with Arca Swiss head. I purchased the gear last fall shortly before I suddenly fell ill, so everything is fresh out of the box.  If you are interested in purchasing any of the pieces or the entire lot, please contact me at jansimonson14@gmail.com.  Thank you. Jan Simonson Photo: not shown - 28-70mm lens.
